The IBMA (International Business Music Association) was formed to provide a forum for the members of the business music industry. The goal of this forum is to meet other members, share ideas, knowledge, and to solve problems in order to assure the survival, profitability and growth of IBMA members and the overall business music industry.

The IBMA was founded as a trade assocation in 1971 by a group of business operators to help them in such areas as dealing with ASCAP, BMI, State and Federal regulators.
